In the 1960s, kooky chicks were hot. Sure, they had always played some part in the cinema world but it wasn’t until the 60s that they emerged from the shadows of the co-star tag and become the center of attention. They were talented and beautiful and didn’t need a man. They could do bad all by themselves.

Actresses such as Paula Prentiss, Vicki Lawrence, Carole Burnett and, of course, our girl Shirley Maclaine, well represented the kooky chicks of the world. Men of all walks of life paid their appreciation of the kooky chick. Unlike the past incarnations, the 60s brought forth an element of sexuality. Paula Prentiss did a couple of nude scenes, as did Ms. Maclaine.
