While Governor of Indiana, Vice President Mike Pence used a private email to conduct state business. During a terse presidential campaign, Pence’s running mate, presidential hopeful Donald Trump hammered his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton about her usage of a private email while she was the United States secretary of state.
Late Friday, it was revealed that Pence’s email had been hacked. When asked to account for his usage of such an account that his boss was so critical of his opponent when it was revealed she had used one, Pence dismissed the comparison.
“Yes, I used one to conduct business but totally different circumstances.”
When asked how so, Pence grew defensive. “Do you know who I am? I am Mike Pence. I was the Governor of Indiana.”
By that time, the rest of the press realized that and left. If hackers wish to bring down the entire Indiana government, would anyone care?
FBI and DOJ officials were reached for comment about the hack but neither could stop laughing. When asked if it wasn’t a crime a DOJ official thought for a moment and responded:
“Probably not. Tell him to hack Rhode Island or Montana…
More laughter;
